Privacy Policy

This policy explains how MIA株式会社 (“we”) handles personal information when you use OlaCheap. We comply with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan (APPI) and, where applicable, the EU/UK GDPR.

Information we collect

• Account data: name, email, password hash, company details, address and phone number.
• Registrant data: contact details required by registries and ICANN to register domains.
• Billing data: order history and invoices. Card details are collected and stored by Stripe, not by us.
• Technical data: IP address, user agent and security logs used to protect accounts and prevent abuse.
• Support data: messages you send to us.

How we use it

• To provide and renew services, including passing required data to registrars, registries and infrastructure providers.
• To process payments, issue invoices and meet tax and accounting obligations.
• To secure accounts, prevent fraud and handle abuse complaints.
• To send service messages such as expiry reminders. Marketing email is sent only with your consent.

Sharing and international transfers

We share personal data with service providers who need it to deliver your services: domain registrars and registries (which may publish limited data in RDAP/WHOIS according to their policies), hosting and cloud providers, Stripe (payments), email delivery providers and Cloudflare (hosting of this website). Some of these are located outside Japan. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards under APPI Article 28 and GDPR Chapter V. We never sell personal data.

WHOIS privacy

Where a registry permits it, WHOIS/RDAP privacy can replace your public contact details with proxy details. Some country-code registries do not allow privacy services.

Retention

We keep account and billing records for as long as your account is active and as required by law (for example, accounting records for seven years under Japanese tax law). Security logs are kept for a limited period.

Your rights

You may request access, correction, deletion, suspension of use or disclosure records of your personal data, subject to legal limits. Contact privacy@olacheap.com.

Security

Passwords are stored as salted hashes, data is transmitted over HTTPS, and administrative access is restricted and logged.
